This Condor2 landscape contains 24x17 8K 2015 orthoimagery tiles. Boulder (KBDU) is located just east of the Colorado Western Slope. A great place for soaring. STATUS ------ This landscape is stil a Work In Progress (WIP) but it can be flown. - It has multiple Condor take-off locations for airborn start... - Only a few take-off locations can be used with aerotow : 1CD4 EagleSoaring, 4CO2 OwlCanyon, KBDU Boulder, KFLY MeadowLake and KTEX Telluride (Used for testing) - It has a FAA GUI/PDA map from 2019-04... - It has a Boulder CUP file... - It has 63000+ 3D objects... mainly PowerTowers and WindMills... - It has dynamic water in it's textures... - It has an Albedo Thermalmap... - And it has Forestmaps... TODO ---- The next thing that has to be done is to select the take-off locations that need extra attention and 3D objects. Those usually are the ones with real life soaring activities. Maybe some airports are added for being able to take-off in areas that have no airports with real life soaring activities. And after that it's all the details. Editting the textures, especially the Colorado-Wyoming border that is still very visible. Cleaning up the CUP file. Checking the forestmaps for trees in wrong locations (I know there are many), etc, etc... There is no planning. So don't ask for when it will be ready. It has been on hold for many months, that's the reason it is now realeased as early access so people can at least fly in it. CONDOR SETUP ------------ For highest realism, set the 'Trees density' setting to 'very high' in the graphics setup. GUI/PDA MAPS ------------ There are multiple GUI/PDA map options. They have coloured outlines: Red : Invisible Scenery Border Yellow : Line were the Scenery Edge gets visible. Avoid this area. Thermalmap is gradualy reduce to zero Green : All is okay up to here... XCSOAR ------ EDB.Nephi.apt.cup : Cup file with Condor Take-Off Locations EDB.Nephi.cup : Cup file with landscape waypoints EDB.Nephi_D1HRnoCUP.xcm : XCSoarMap with Detail Level 1, High resolution terrain (3 arcseconds per pixel instead of 9) and No CUP file. Level of detail: 3: Every little village and road that we know of. 2: No small villages or smaller roads. 1: Only major cities and roads, no railroads.
